Well, I shaved 16 seconds off this race. I am a little disappointed that I didn't do better and get under 40 minutes but that being said, I have only run a full 3 miles once since my last 5k a month ago. So in the grand scheme of things, and considering it took me over 50 minutes to run that 3 miles, I essentially shaved 10 minutes off my run. Also, came in 147 out of 213 runners, which makes me very happy. The girls and I are talking about doing another 5k next month, which would be awesome. I like running but I really like training for something because it gives me a sense of accomplishment. It is similar to studying for a test then getting an A+. Because I am a complete nerd like that.
