41:31 minutes! I am so flipping excited!!! Now granted, I came in close to the bottom however since it was a 5K for a fallen solider, most of the people running were soldiers and are in good condition. I am supremely excited because my first three miles took me 55 minutes and I had gotten it whittled down to about 48 minutes. With this, I kept a great pace up for most of the run. There was one point where I was ready to cry but I kept on going. I even finished up with my power song, "Eye of the Tiger" as I crossed the finish line. Getting to the finish line and having everyone cheer was the most amazing moment. I was so glad my family came with me for the race.
